can i ask, what material is that for the anchor. the chain looks like real iron, so does the metal of the anchor... even ur shinguards look like the real deal.

I used very simple materials. But I think the metallic look came from my painting technique. I enjoy using weathering techniques focused on achieving highlights and shadows through drybrushing. Same as my armor.

now u got me reading tutorials about drybrushing. do u use a lighter or darker paint from the main base color for the drybrushing technique?

i had my anchor spray painted silver so its a very flat shiny silver. (see my pics)

If you want it metallic, shiny silver. My friend uses Kryolan Chrome spraypaint. It works very well for shiny metals. It is not as flat as regular spray paint.

As for drybrushing, I always apply the darkest tones first and end with the lightest. ^^

i will try this drybrushing technique on my next cosplay that has metal involved.. a little lazy to 'upgrade' my chosokabe... lol
